Linna Hanson

SENIOR PHILANTHROPY CONSULTANT


Linna Hanson is a senior philanthropy consultant at Sheikh/Impact where she provides strategic fund development support to clients.

Prior to joining S/I, Linna was with the W. M. Keck Foundation for 35 years, including 21 years as a program officer in the Southern California and Undergraduate Education programs. Her career has included roles with the Bowers Museum Foundation and Museum Associates, the fundraising arm of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.

At the Keck Foundation, Linna was responsible for counseling potential grant applicants, reviewing proposals, and presenting recommendations to the board of directors for high dollar amount awards. Through her extensive interaction with the local nonprofit sector, Linna is recognized as a trusted thought partner. She participated regularly in Meet the Funders events, providing nonprofit organizations with insight into the Keck Foundation’s policies and procedures, and served as an external reviewer for other funders.

Linna earned a bachelor’s degree in art history from California State University, Fullerton. She is a past board member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Los Angeles Harbor.
