Alyssa Whitfield is a senior consultant at Sheikh/Impact, where she brings more than 20 years of nonprofit leadership experience to her work with clients. Her areas of expertise include strategic planning, fund development, board recruitment and development, and organizational capacity building. Whitfield’s approach is grounded in a deep commitment to advancing mission-driven work and guiding teams toward sustainable growth and impact.

She is the founding executive director of Dress for Success Rochester, where she led efforts that supported more than 1,000 women in achieving meaningful employment and long-term economic independence. Her career reflects a strong track record in executive leadership, community engagement, and coaching nonprofit leaders to lead with purpose and clarity.

With a professional background in fashion merchandising and nonprofit management, Whitfield integrates style with strategy—helping leaders align their personal and professional brands with their organizational mission. She is a frequent speaker on leadership, personal branding, and equity in the nonprofit sector.

Whitfield currently serves on the board of the Rochester Area Community Foundation, is the immediate past president of You Can’t Fail Inc., and sits on the executive board of the Harbor Area (California) Chapter of The Links Inc. A 2022 Athena Award finalist, she lives in Long Beach with her husband, Michael, and is the proud mother of four adult children.
